We are happy to work with you to schedule a venue tour. Please note that during the summer months, we have weddings on site and as such, won't schedule Saturday tours to not disturb our wedding. Just reach out to schedule a tour - we do our best to accommodate.

Please also keep in mind that we are a family run business and we don't generally host tours over holidays.

The only way to secure a date is by paying the non-refundable retainer. We may be able to pencil you in and let you know if someone else is interested in this date. Please note though that sometimes, we don't have time to wait for your response. If someone is here ready to pay the retainer, they will be given priority.

Once you are ready to book your wedding date, we send you our agreement and the retainer will then be due in order to hold your date. The retainer is 1/2 of the venue fee and is NON-REFUNDABLE. No exceptions.

Our wedding season typically runs from end of May until end of September. We are not offering winter weddings at this time though we may consider outdoor ceremony for elopements. We do not have an indoor space in the winter for dinner or any gatherings.

We do, however rent out the cabins in the winter should you want to come spend a couple of nights here - please refer to our winter pages for details.

Elopement: up to 14 people. Available October 15th - April 15th, May 15th - Sept 30th mid week only. Limited space. Main lodge facility room.

Intimate Wedding: up to 40 people. Similar to regular wedding, just less people.

Regular Wedding: this is our main wedding package. 40+ people, full ceremony, full reception.

Our venue max is 100. Up to 80 people are included in our pricing but you can add up to 20 more for a fee.

Hillside Lodge has 8 cabins and 2 lodge rooms sleeping up to 28 people in bedrooms. Most of the cabins also have futons so you can fit up to a total of 42 people in our accommodations.

We do allow 3 RV's and 3 tents (up to 20 people max) onsite during the wedding as well - please note these come with fees and some limitations. Be sure to check with us if this is something you are considering.

Our regular/long weekend wedding packages have a 2/3 night minimum requirement for all accommodations.

It may seem like a lot but once you start, you'll likely wish we had more places for people to stay!

Intimate weddings, elopements and midweek events have optional accommodation policies.

We do not supply any of these items. Please note that we have a great event rental company (Vibrant Event Rentals) right here in Golden who can help with all of these needs.

We currently don't have audio equipment.

Yes! You may bring your own alcohol as long as you hire a professional bartender (if you have a friend, please inquire with us to make sure this will work) and get a liquor license. We also require Weddinguard Insurance no less than 6 months prior to your wedding date.

Catering - we have a list of pre-approved vendors who we work with. Hillside does not have a commercial kitchen on site so if you want a different catering company, please check with us first to make sure this is possible.
